We are looking for a TOOL & DIE MAKER 

and JOURNEYMAN TOOL & DIE MAKER/Team Leader

ASH Industries Inc, is growing and looking for a dynamic Tool & Die Maker as well as a Journeyman Tool & Die Maker/Team Leader. You will join a progressive company and will be responsible for building, assembly and maintenance of molding tools, dies and fixtures.

ASH Toolmakers are responsible for the fabrication, timing, and final assembly of new tool steel molds and repairs to existing tooling in support of in-house production as well as creation of assembly fixtures. Responsibilities include consulting on the design of new molds, evaluating the best way to implement engineering changes and maintenance of existing molds. This includes managing the fabrication of individual mold components, speeding mold fabrication, and building a first rate tool shop.

 

Here is a little more about what you will be doing:

Cutting lots of metal and (with almost magical ability) building incredible molds

Mold Fabrication

Mold Commissioning & First Article tests

Fixture Design & Build

Giving Production insight on process as it is affected by mold design

Consulting on Tool Design with mold designers

Is your background a fit?

 

We are looking for Journeyman Certification (Tool & Die Team Leader position) Expert skill in all tool room equipment Experience leading high performance teams in a fast-paced environment

(Tool & Die Team Leader position)

Understanding of Injection Molded Parts production.​

Great problem solving and communication skills

Desire to work with and motivate those lesser skilled.

Expert experience building both class 101 and 103 molds

Understanding the priorities of a given project and adapting techniques to match

Ability to work with vendors and customers

Ability to maintain safe work environment

Assembly fixture design experience

Fundamental understanding of thermoplastic component fabrication and materials

Background in prototyping of components

Preferred Skills and Education

Project management and multi-tasking ability

Experience managing complex projects

Machining understanding and experience

TIG Welding a plus
